Attire 11 – Winter Layers

Sometimes function in clothing is key. When the winter months hit and the weather gets cold and wet you just have to layer up and get on with things. Although not the most streamlined of jackets, a duck down filled Penfield gilet will keep you snug and warm. When you don’t feel like getting out of bed in the morning, it’s like strapping your duvet onto your chest for the day.
Continuing the duck theme, duck boots at are sure-fire way to keep your feet warm and dry, LL Bean’s famous ‘Bean Boots’ being a prime example. The vintage Pendleton shirt above is also a great way to build up your layers. Remember, layering helps keep you insulated by trapping air between the different fabrics.
