Bean Boots on the Heath

The autumn leaves took a while to appear this year. Normally they start to turn from green to brown around September, but only now in mid November are those reds, yellows and browns really starting to show.

I pulled on my Bean Boots and headed for a walk on Hampstead Heath on a wet and misty day. They’re the perfect walking boot for whenever the ground underfoot is wet, muddy or even snowy. Virtually indestructible, they’re great quality and have been made the same way in the US by LL Bean since 1912.
The range of colours on the Heath was breathtaking, the autumn really is one of my favourite times of year, you can see why so many are inspired by the change in colours, it’s an obvious influence on many a layered wardrobe of deep reds and ochres.
The tree branches split the autumn sun into rays through the mist in the woods providing a peaceful, calm space in a city so often filled with noise and crowds.
